With neighborhood children on a classic rickshaw (KHI), circa 1990s.I have loved rickshaws since I was a kid. There was always something magical about them – the mystique, the charm, the open-air thrill of the ride. But beyond the excitement, I came to admire their incredible reliability. No matter how chaotic the streets, how tangled the traffic, or how narrow the path, the rickshaw always found a way – getting you to your destination safely and with purpose (often with your hair barely out of place!).
I first rode in rickshaws on visits to Karachi, but I’ve seen them across the world – from Asia to Latin America, and even parts of the United States. Recently, I took my own children on a rickshaw ride and saw the same exhilaration in their faces. That joy stuck with me.
From the rickshaw’s three wheels to our three kids, “three” represents purpose, promise, and possibility – a powerful reminder that good things really do come in threes. This inspiration led me to launch Rickshaw Health on 3/3 at 3pm.
Rickshaw Health draws from that same spirit. We help clients navigate the complex, ever-changing healthcare landscape – steadily, skillfully, and with a deep appreciation for the journey itself.
